Map: Tavertine

 

Tavertine, the “Ruined Coast,” was a small human kingdom, which collapsed a century ago during a civil war between twin princes. Most of Tavertine's population was killed in the fighting and ensuing famine, while the land itself was burned and salted with magic. Only the Orietine Vale escaped serious damage, with its wooded hills being of little use to the warring claimants. In the ensuing decades, Tavertine has become a lawless haven for bandits, pirates, and exiles. After the Yaeorians later appeared from an unknown world, they began to resettle the northmost portions of Tavertine, using their skills in the arcane arts to unsully the soil and till it once more. Since then, they have been in conflict with a warlord hailing from the town of Nov-Tavrine, who claims to be one of the twin princes from long ago.
