Thindul's only mapped continent, with its subcontinent, or "great isle," Gwynnbered. From east to west, the landmass covers approximately 3500 miles. 

In the east, the remnant of the elven empire, Naihurin Etarl, remains hegemonic, often coming to blows with Lahan Vas Xogoto, a nation of giants zealously devoted to their belligerent god, Xogoth. Meanwhile, an alliance between Gerash Ro'vainan and the Melordans forms a tenuous counterbalance to Naihurin Etarl's power. Just to the south, the Steelbright Dwarves largely isolate themselves from surface affairs, locked in an ancient conflict with their treacherous Thulgrähbar kin. 

Western Thindul's civilization exists in a delicate peace, oriented around a silk road running from Gwynnbered through Periandor, Rukkarim, the Steel Empire, and Norquii. Ostregvaza's central position in western Thindul is the cause of this trade route's importance, as its sealed borders block passage through all other prospective land routes to the east.
